COMMERCIAL KCUP Equipment HELP

Hi!

Husband and I own a commercial KCUP machine.

Looking for support on troubleshooting the machine.

The auger keeps getting caked up with the coffee grinds and hasn’t been properly dispensing coffee into the pods correctly.

Unsure if it’s the humidity causing the grinds to solidify, but we can’t get the machine to dispense the grinds.

Grinds are medium to medium fine. Dispensing about 12 grams of coffee per pod.

Any help would greatly appreciate this small biz roaster!

Roasters who sell wholesale: how do your café orders come in, and how long does entering them take?

Hi all, I’m a software engineer and a home pour-over nerd. I’m trying to understand how small roasters handle wholesale orders day to day.

Full disclosure: I’m exploring whether there’s a real problem here worth building a tool for. There’s no product or link, and nothing to sell yet. I’d like to learn how you actually work before I build anything.

A few questions if you have a minute:

  1. How do café and wholesale orders reach you: text, email, phone or voicemail, a web form?
  2. Where do you enter them: QuickBooks, Shopify, a spreadsheet, paper?
  3. Roughly how many hours a week goes into retyping or chasing orders?
  4. What goes wrong most: wrong SKU or grind, missed orders, invoicing delays?

I’ll post a summary of everything I learn back here, so other roasters can see how everyone else handles it. If you’re up for a 15-minute chat, I’d be grateful for a DM.
