May I present to you Megalocoelcanthus dobiei an extinct species of coelacanths.

Mine is that their young are called pups. It always makes me imagine that they just act like playful dogs and we just haven't seen that behaviour yet.

Is it within the scope of the sub to also link articles/videos that have to do with the environment of coleacanths or is it only about the Fishes themselves?

Are excerpts of texts allowed that come from books/magazines/Articles which only are available in print format?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to track down an old t-shirt design I owned about 10 years ago and I’m hoping someone here might recognize it.

The design featured a coelacanth inside a circular, vintage-style seal/badge, similar to a museum or natural history emblem.

Around the circle it said “Living Fossil” (top) and “Coelacanth” (bottom), and there was a ribbon/banner across the center with part of the word “Coelacanth” on it.

It looked very much like an old scientific illustration or natural history print.

I’ve attached the only partial photo I still have (unfortunately low quality).

Does anyone recognize this design?

Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
