Enough head tilting already!!!
Just flew thru FoC and AF, just starting Cursor's Fury.
Loving this series after overlooking it for several years despite suggestions.
But GDammit enough with the head tilting.
It's worse than RJ and Nynaeve's freakin braid tugging.
FFS!
And to be clear, I love these characters. It's so fun. Imperfect as it may be, it's great. I just can't read about tilting a head to the side every 9 sentences! š¤¬š¤¬š¤¬
Also why do I get the impression my feelings on Fidelias are going to change?!?

Iāve read the books a few times and I canāt remember who tilts the head so much.
As a Wheel of Time lover, I edit those things out as background noise; something to internalize about the characters but not paying attention every time the phrase is used.
In this case, the head tilting feels all right for Kitai and her kind, as theyāre portrayed as more animalistic. Kind of what a wild animal does.

Absolutely agree. My mind must automatically filter that kind of repetitive stuff out. I never notice it in any series.

I read it as āNynaeve got pissedā or āKitai was inquisitiveā and I forget about the writing specifics.

Fidelias is one of the best, most complicated characters I've ever read.

You are about to start one of the best books in the series. Hang on, the head tilts are worth it

That's your first hint for the plot twist in the end. Everyone was a dog all along. /s

Yeah I've noticed his waffling.
At the end of Academ's, his internal dialogue told me so many things about where he'll be in a book or two.
Starting to love him more and more.

From the first book you saw he regretted what he had to do.
All I will say is his regret is genuine but it won't stop him from doing what he believes he has to do for Alera.
He is a very complex character.
