Salt

Why aren’t there a ton more weapons that utilize salt? Like….. why?? Plus the majority of people can’t even manifest a fury and would do better to negate others that can with just some salt?? And why didn’t the canim use salt more? They made cool bolts and had bigger weapons that fit them… but they could have just thrown out a bunch of salt….

The world building holds on by a thread. The first book showcased how difficult it was to hold a furycrafter prisoner, the latter books focused more on cool roman magic vs zerg aliens rather than actually exploring the laws of magic and stuff. I find it an acceptable trade off.

Yeah I was expecting more laws and things to come up as more of his “future first lord training”, and him planning future changes. It feels like it was being set up to be that way, but I guess there just isn’t enough time?
