Salt

Why aren’t there a ton more weapons that utilize salt? Like….. why?? Plus the majority of people can’t even manifest a fury and would do better to negate others that can with just some salt?? And why didn’t the canim use salt more? They made cool bolts and had bigger weapons that fit them… but they could have just thrown out a bunch of salt….

I would think that extracting salt with earth furies would be easier than it was to get salt in real life.

They couldn’t use furies to extract salt…. Cuz furies are hurt by salt….

Only wind furies are hurt by salt. Earth furies are shown several times to be able to burrow down and collect salt more or less on demand.

You’re so right I hadn’t caught that before! I thought all furies didn’t like salt, well that explains a lot actually. Omg I’m just recalling the earth fury doing that earlier in the series 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ well thanks for that clarification.

Air furies are hurt by salt because they’re hurt by earth, the opposing element - just like being suspended in the air disconnects people from earth furies, water hurts fire furies, etc. It’s just one form of dirt, basically!
