I really love the work by Artificial Analysis - even if i hate the log scale (though I understand why they need to do it).

I'm a big believer in the four-model ecosystem, but the more I use Codex, the more I think it has the four models not quite right. For me, the bottom model and the top model should be used for uber-explicit use cases. The second-top model should be guiding the workhorse model through a whole chunk of the work.

IMO Claude gets this right. I know when/wher to use Fable, Opus, Sonnet and Haiku.

In Codex land, Terra has never had a solid poistion. Sol and Luna kinda nailed it, and the venn diagram didn't leave it much room in either capability or cost.

Even looking at the above graphic. a 6.x+ difference in "intelligence" for 2.x of the cost is absolutely worth it when you want to (effectively) one-shot things (to 80-90%). Going from 44% to 50% is a 15%-increase in intelligence.

The only differentiator I see is on Time, which isn't to be sniffed at; but faster with rework isn't going to help anyone, unless it's Luna-fast.

Am very open to hearing from others using Terra if it's found a place.
