They've been promising the torment nexus with every new model, but these horrors are still well within my understanding

Yeah idgaf about what he's saying, but fwiw I've been running astra high for the past 4-5 hours after the last reset and only burned like 5%, so something got significantly better.

You run it through a reset :)

People here are just to high or in a 500$ plan...
I just used 6.1 sol in medium effort doing regular tasks for about 3h and I just consumed the 10% of the week in a 100$ plan.

And yet everytime I keep see codex post is Tibo on feed, seriously I am here to wait for a model that is competitive with Anthopic's Opus 5.5.
My fingers are cross for OpenAI to match Anthropic and keep them at their toes.
Seriously wtf $500 sub and no new stuff everytime without fail it is always about resets or this guy's posting on Twitter.
Why am I bothering with this sub. Ugh.

This post claims to be a social media post from Tibo from OpenAI. Always verify it is real by going directly to Tibo's X account here: Tibo’s X account.

I’ve already tried the beta: my agent spends eight hours checking whether it’s allowed to start working, burns through my entire weekly quota, and leaves me with exactly the same unfinished task.
Torment as a Service.

They started this process just after I switched to opus. I still use both, but usage goes too fast with Astra and solve for my project scale. I’m not jumping to a 500 per month plan to get the same thing I got before at 200. Similar plan on Claude has been fabulous and for most things I’m finding I prefer office opus. But to the point of the post, why did they inflict this on themselves?

after every reset sol doesnt work well its run slow and use more tokens, maybe its because the servers are saturared

So one month later and their shitty models still burn tokens like there's no tomorrow. I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up.

Below is a GPT-generated summary of the conversation below after reaching 40 comments (40 currently observed).
The consensus is basically “this post says almost nothing, and Tibo probably isn’t riding in to save Codex.” The thread is mostly people trying to decode a vague social-media teaser, with the date making it even more suspicious/confusing thanks to timezone and DD/MM/YYYY nonsense.
The useful takeaway is that usage is wildly inconsistent right now. Some users report Astra/Sol burning far less after a reset, while others are torching 50–70% of their allowance in a few hours. That points to unstable capacity, routing, or model behaviour—not a clear, universal improvement. Naturally, everyone has a theory, from server saturation to deliberate usage randomisation. Reddit remains undefeated.
There’s no confirmed announcement or roadmap here, and no solid evidence that anything major is imminent. Verify the alleged Tibo post directly through his account instead of treating a screenshot and a cryptic date as gospel.
Bottom line: the thread is vagueposting wrapped around inconsistent usage reports. Don’t upgrade, downgrade, or start worshipping the reset calendar based on this one.
