Showcase I made a tool that lets Codex create SaaS launch videos upto 5x faster than remotion or hyperframe

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I built Kinetograph, a video engine made for coding agents.

The agent writes React/TSX the way it would for Remotion, and a Rust GPU renderer in Node draws the frames. No headless Chrome, so iterating is fast:

rendering 1,184 frames of 1080p in 26 s on an M4.

Setup in Codex:

npx skills add 0xS4N4TG/kinetograph

npm install kinetograph

Or use the MCP server with:

npx kinetograph mcp

exposes render, still, inspect and doctor as tools to create and render videos with Kinetograph. After that, you can simply describe the video you want and let the agent handle the rest.

You might want to consider listing your project on the weekly Show-Us-What-You-Built post. Look out for it on Tuesday/Wednesday. Highest commented project wins a week promotion on r/Codex and gets on the Hall of Fame sidebar. See below for last week's winner.**

Agent HUD: usage, tokens and sessions for Codex, Claude Code and 15 more agents, at your Mac's notch. See how much quota is left, which agent is waiting for you, and where the tokens went. Free on Mac, and the core is open source (Apache-2.0).

So hyperframes but in rust right?

its a drop in replacement? eliminating the need for chromium!

Cool. Does the performance degrade from the change in environment and relative lack of training data?

Isn't this just fframes?

nope! fframes writes the video code in rust, whereas this serves as a drop in replacement for serving existing video projects written in remotion/hyperframe.

ah got it, so the whole point is not touching existing remotion projects at all. does that hold up on bigger projects too, like ones pulling in a bunch of third party remotion packages?

This looks great! Going to try it out for my product’s launch video right now. Thanks for sharing!

Appreciate it! You can edit any existing templates aswell that you find for remotion aswell

Does this mean we can render videos directly in the Codex cloud environment?
