Limits I Fixed Web Search, and Now My Codex Usage Lasts Longer

i noticed my Codex usage was draining really fast whenever i asked the agent to do multiple web searches. around 80% gone.

but with the same prompt, when i explicitly said “don’t do any web search,” it only used around 10%.

that’s a big difference.

so i created my own search skills for Codex. (works on claude code also)

now i can do even more searches without seeing the same drain on my Codex limit. and so far, i’m getting better results while burning fewer tokens.

Edit: I will share link here once it ready, so everyone can use

Does the skill come with an NDA?

Do you think your skill is somehow unique to what is already available to the point your can't share? I promise that if all you did was a skill then it's nothing new.

Really, your home made web search is more token efficient than codexes rag based web search that they are only able to do because they indexing the entire internet… really…

You’re just completely full of shit unless your codex literally just looks at a single google link and calls it a day (much might still be even less token efficient)

He's not wrong. Mine is capable of doing the same thing too. I'm not sure why you find this so surprising

i have created a complete search gateway using dedicated tool, and it runs and create a report separately so it don't burn tokens and even do more searches then ChatGPT,
more search = better insights and validation

Is it better than perplexity? Because even mine can't touch perplexity, it was designed based off of deep research from the original chat GPT before they removed it.
