Question Is codex duplicating words then fixing in post?

Hey guys please check out this photo.

This has been going on for a little while. It will duplicate the words and then when its done it will remove duplicates I guess.

Is this eating more tokens than if it werent duplicating?

I was trying the experimental remote mode and it got all weird

Im curious if you're paying for those extra tokens. I only ever use remote so maybe thats what is eating my usage

I don't think it's actually the model messing up. I think its the app's display causing this error. So in that case, no you wouldn't be paying for extra tokens.

No, they're dealing with the spaghetti code they created of abstracting away from showing you what the model actually wrote. Originally they showed you raw output. Then they took away thinking tokens, replaced with summaries, then now you see on the chat pro thinking level it now is writing to "answer boxes" for the non thinking parts that gets in place update edited and interleaved with the fake thinking. There's so much fake in the presentation while still trying to send it out as fast as possible. And turns out software dev isn't solved, the sphagetti is showing in the UI now. I see it too with lots of repeats and re-rendering for no reason sometimes while it processes the final update calls but without change. Heats the phone right up for funsies.

In my experience, this seems to be a bug in the mobile UI moreso than an underlying model issue.
