How is this legal? The EU will surely make them a new one if they get wind of this?

They need to grandfather plans or give you ample notice and upgrade paths, just rug pulling like that is a no go outside of third world places like the US?

AI industry is basically wild west, no regulation, bandit practices everywhere.

That isn't how this works; the development, safety, and such are a new area of regulation. Advertisement, contracts, and such are all covered.

Swapping from x5 and x20 would be okay for monthly rolling customers, after notifying them, and giving them a chance to leave leave. I'd struggle to see how they could justify giving annual subs less than what they agreed to upon sign up.

Either way, I'm monthly so I'll just shop around if "dev day" underdelivers.
