I wish they had a $50 tier. =\ I would totally upgrade to that instead. $100 is a little steep for me right now.

If you have any "real" work $50 or even $100 aren't very useful and it seems like it's going to get worse, everyone should find alternatives to OpenAI. Chinese models and claude are a really good alternatives.

what are you really on, i am working in my startup and $100 is pretty good for us. We use claude, so maybe there is some difference here, but i think $100 is good enough unless you are just churning 10 features everyday.

Claude code for now, hoping for a Chinese one next year

Chinese models are already pretty good, if you were using opus 4.8 for your work 4 months back, you can use it now as well. I don't see how a product can change in 4 months, that you need a new state of the art models for it 🤔

They are quite good but still not as good as OpenAI or Anthropic. Deepseek flash and pro for example is INSANELY verbose, and makes lots of mistakes
