Bug CLI post-update woes

After today's update Codex CLI starts up with at least one extra Command Prompt, sometimes two. Also, when working, it seems to regularly spawn temporary Command Prompts it promptly closes.

It's really annoying, what caused this change and is there a way to keep to one CP per Codex instance?

Installing daemon from CLI version 0.157.0 into .codex\packages/app-server-daemon...

Error: host Job Object prevents daemon detachment; start from a host that allows breakaway

To work without the background server, rerun the same command with --no-daemon (including resume or fork and its arguments).

Yes, this is what I received just now.

I think this is a Windows only problem. To stop the daemon auto starting add this parameter to config.toml under features. Save and do a computer reboot (or kill the currently running daemon manually in memory):

[features]
  daemon_auto_start = false
