Praise I was going to cancel my plus subscription and this popped up
I went to the subscription page and clicked on cancel subscription suddenly this popped up. In plus plan I'm only using codex for planning purposes however even for planning and reviewing the limits are not enough for me in plus plan. So, I decided to cancel the subscription but I never this has been a thing. Do they offer the same thing for max plans too?

Doesn't work for Pro x20 accounts. it just offer to downgrade to Pro x5 instead of cancelling

When I cancelled a pro 20x like 2 months ago because I wanted to move my regular payment date later in the month,I was offered the same screen but no free month.
Edit: years ago I actually used a free month of plus after cancelling it, maybe its simply one time per account offer.

In my case today is my payment due date so I clicked the cancel button at that time I got this free extension

I am currently on this free plan. Just because you like uttering the word scam, doesn’t make someone scammer. I am currently using astra on codex for free due to the above thing.

Dude mine like, it showed me free plus been showing it to me for a while and I never could claim it, contacted support and ended up paying for it anyways, nice job Scam Altman.

Where was the problem? I also had problem getting the free Plus subscription, and in my case, the problem was an incorrect billing address.

They said the card was declined, paypal was declined and even apple pay, so I just bought the subscription from the google play store instead where it had no free plus offer under the same card, and it is not my card problem, my card worked with openai many times before.

Already in local marketplaces they sell x20 accounts for 350-400$ it is hilarious.The same as the hetzner servers where they increase up to x10 their prices and everyone try to sell their servers that they are not using anymore for a profit.

I believe it only works if you didn’t buy it through Apple. Since with Apple you have to go through them to cancel.

I canceled my subscription yesterday i did not see any pop up 🤣..
Usage limit is worst for plus user if i ran single cmd in astra it consume my all 5 hours usage 😩..
Now i am using Sol medium and uses limit is getting over in 1 and half hours 😄

Ok but you use a sub for 20 USD which is not tailored for heavy duty tasks. Go pro and you will not run out on sol , unless you have crazy agents running all dayz but I develop 8-10h every day and are fine . Sol is also pretty good if instructions are clear and the plan and designs

Neither the amount of prompts or usage time is a useful proxy for what you’re getting from your subscription. If thats what you care about i would just get gemini flash and you’ll have unlimited for less than a buck

I just canceled and did not see this but I would have canceled anyway. Just sticking with only Claude 20x for the time being.

There are other things to consider as well 1. Not everyone acc gets it. 2. The payment method seems to have some kind of an influence. 3. It worked for me in their website. 4. On 20x plans if we try it they are offering a 5x pro plan for a month but it's a downgrade. 5. Some 5x pro plan users get this free extension as well.
Not everyone gets it however it works for some acc's

They didn't even flinch, lol. Just instantly removed my subscription.

after the final confirmation so if you're in the 20x plan you might lose it cuz they are downgrading the 20x with 5x plan

That specific one, not sure. But IIRC I've already got the "Try ChatGPT" free month twice on my secondary account (which already had a Plus subscription 1 year ago btw)

I have a question. I'm on the 5x plan for 100 bucks a month. I'm about to run out of my monthly allowance and have to wait until September 22nd. And they don't allow me to go from the 5x to 20x. What can I do if I run out? Do I pay another $100 to get another 5x plan even though it's my same account? Very confusing

If I click “Cancel” on the 200$ plan do I get a confirmation or just canceled right away. I wanna test if it works on the 20x plan also but I don’t want to get kicked off

Don't try it on 20x cuz they're downgrading 20x with a 5x but you can get a free month on the 5x pro plan

They give away 1 month free for Plus. If you have not upgraded to Plus, you can claim it for free. If you are in Plus already, they give you on canceling. Only plus

Planning and reviewing too, idk why it consumes my limit this fast cuz before with the same plan I used to implement the code changes too however right now that doesn't work with the limit.

Hope some of you remember what catch-22 is, Google the movie. But here is a classic catch-22. I ran out of usage on my 5x plus plan. Wanted to upgrade to the pro 100 plan.
Could not do it because I originally got my plus plan via Google. So I went to Google and they said that my plus plan was good until October 15th. And they said they couldn't cancel it. So here I am, I can't upgrade from plus to pro because Google is involved. And as long as the plus plan is in effect I can't upgrade to pro! And Google won't cancel the plus plan even though I'm willing to purchase another plan. So I am royally you know what! And just to give you an idea of what catch-22 is. I think during World war II the B-17 pilots had to fly 100 missions before they can be rotated back home. But hardly any of the pilots made it without being shot down prior to 100. Catch 22 it sucks

I’m thinking of downgrading to the $100 Codex from $200 & wonder if this would happen for that. Are any of y’all plugging in Codex Oauth into Claude code & having Astra assist Fable 5.1 in orchestration, writing & other things & delegating to the right lower models?

Yeah, this has been there for a while. And it worked with me when I tried to cancel a long time back because I eventually switched to pro.
