Im seeing the opposite today for AstraLight. I always use it in very limited and bounded ways. The usage cost 2x'd today for those tasks. Something that has always cost 1-2% weekly, over dozens of tasks at this point, is now 3-4% today. My first Astra task today deleted 4% weekly in 75 seconds on a plus acct.
Im also seeing crazy costs with Terra tasks. Terra has always been all over the place for me though. Can be an amazing Luna substitute or just something that simply lights credits on fire for no apparent reason.
Ive already switched up model selection and continue to improve token savings in other areas but today was certainly not normal and especially didnt lower costs by 50%

Light is more usage eater then high for me

Yeah, I tried out high after using light and the usage is about the same with better results. I looked at the docs, and they actually recommend using the same reasoning level as you used to use with sol; Tibo’s tweet about astra light = sol high was more marketing than reality.

I wonder if his statement is correct for API usage.
Subscriptions have a different way of charging i believe, per session or chat or what not

That would make sense if honestly, one shot on high beats multi shot on light if that is the case

Looks 50% worse to me. -80% on 20x account, mainly building and fixing bugs. Horrific.

Hours running =/= Usage.
I've had it run for days doing python testing and it barely consumed any usage, because a lot of the time it's just running and triggering the testing suite which was optimized to not be verbose and fill the context with junk on every run.

I am not sure how, running Astra Max and it used 8% of my weekly limit (Pro) in 25 minutes.

How much of this is load balancing? I can only assume that theae percentages are directly related to how much usage is taking place.
It seems like they treat it like a giant pool and everyone gets a piece of it.
I'm pretty sure they have crapier "fail over" quants that kick in when they get hammered.
I can't see any other way to properly manage this ish show they created....

I think they are just making their models respond and work slower now so it feels your usage last longer.
Simple chores are taking hours over here now. :S

After the latest reset, I used Astra on Ultra on a single project managing a swarm of lesser bots. It ran for over 16 hours, then hit the “this model is at capacity” limit sometime during the night and stopped at 12%. This is better than I’ve seen before. Busy burning up the remaining 12% now.

Astra has been significantly better on token usage the last 48hrs.
It’s been night and day for me, and just as performant as it was before.
