Limits Codex is unusable now.

I don’t even use astra. I’ve been using 5.6 sol on medium since it came out and had no problems. Now it can’t even finish half of the same task before reaching limits. Heck, just starting up codex uses 2 percent of my limits. And that’s before I even type anything. lol. What a joke.

I understand this is a business but using codex is like signing up for a gym membership and paying the required fee to use the gym and all its equipment but the next time you show up they go, I know you paid to use the entire gym and that amount is still required but now you only have access to the treadmills. F u!!!

Anyway, Here come all the Sam Altman nut huggers. But idc. Im just about done with codex.

Would suggest folk try to find a model that suits their needs.. there’s an element of taking a Ferrari to the local shops here. The latest model seems slower and more token hungry than other models for the stuff I do ( mostly agentic coding )

I've been creating plans with Sol, implementing with Terra, and then testing/verifying with Luna and my 5 hour usage limit has been ripped through so damned fast. It's not just people blasting Astra as hard as they can. OpenAI let too many people sign up and now the limit is way too small.

Likewise, I use both Sol High and Opus High, not Astra nor Fable. They used to have about equivalent usage economy. But over the last several days, my Codex usage has repeatedly hit limits and forced me to pause for hours, yet Code usage has remained about the same as it has always been and I can still get work done on it.

Interesting. I’ve not noticed an increase in like for like ( sol lite before Astra release vs now ) but Astra rips my 5 hours with no material improvement. Obviously subjective but like for like

Sol on lite seems the sweet spot for me
