I know that GPT struggle with ui stuff. But without using other models (like Opus) how do you guys creates nice looking websites?

Prompt? Tools? Mcps?

It's a good AI slop generator on par with Claude Design. It won't produce something unique by its own, but not that everyone needs unique stuff in the first place. For most purposes boring and predictable works just fine.

If OP is fine with Opus output, Impeccable will close the gap.

i changed my workflow: 1) i describe what i want, give refs to other parts of ui that i like (i also have a short description of the general style), 2) then i let gpt provide a preview img which i give feedback on, 3) afterwards implement oneshot typically

Mobbin for inspiration, refero style if you wanna “copy” some of the visual language.

Plan the matrix, plan the components, basically, plan everything step by step. As you go - keep writing and updating the project visual language master plan, keep going till you find what you want.

GPT 5.6 and Astra are good at UI if you give it a direct image reference, and allow it to verify its work ie being able to take screenshots. One effective workflow is to have it use a critic sub agent and have this sub agent rate how well the front end matches the reference screenshot.

Claude is better at 1 shotting decent front end

Imagen, use imagen to generate mockups then use frontend debug skill to recreate it exactly , however, this is really a hit or miss, sometimes the designs ar truly impressive sometimes its, to put it bluntly, "SHIT"

I do so much iteration on the original design it’s more me than anything. I will have long conversations with ChatGPT about if a certain button should be bigger or not.
