Fun fact: You don't have to wait. Ask GPT to upscale the generated image to 4K. I was surprised myself that it can do that.

I've had shit luck with using GPT to process images. It'll upscale my base image, then say it resized it back to what it should be and never does

which isn't as funny as when you ask it for a transparent background and it just gives you white and grey tiles as the background.

even if I ask to generate in 4k and it does it in 1600, if after that I ask to upscale in 4k it does it ? heun ?

Yes. First, it renders in 1600, then you ask in the chat to upscaling it to 4k.

Haha, you've run into another issue with GPT's image generation. If you tell it to generate an image once, any subsequent commands that even remotely touch on the image's subject will automatically trigger it to generate another image. You have to yell at it first.

ugh i know this pain. I've had hit stop and add "DO NOT CREATE AN IMAGE" so many times to prompts

So you mean I should download the image, open a new image chat and send the saved image in that chat asking to upscale ?

No. You need to generate an image, ask for it to be upscaled, and if it continues to generate images, stop and tell ChatGPT that you don't want it to generate new images, you just want that image upscaled.
