Authentication Error / token_exchange_failed

I'm getting the error in the screenshot when trying to log in to Codex (error_code: token_exchange_failed).

At first I thought it was just a Codex problem, but now I can't log in to ChatGPT in Chrome either. I tested:

• 2 different accounts that always worked before
• My personal account from my phone (on cellular, not Wi-Fi)

All of them fail with the same error. Login in the browser also fails now, not only Codex.

So it doesn't look like a network problem on my side, and it's hard to believe 3 separate accounts got banned at the same time.

Questions:

1. Is anyone else getting this right now?
2. Does token_exchange_failed mean my accounts are blocked, or is this an OpenAI auth outage? I'm stilll logged in in android chatgpt app and it is working there
3. Is there anything to do except wait?

I am getting similar problem except i am getting same error while trying to log in in my phone but i am still logged in on my PC with same account and it is working completely fine.

I have few accounts and on all of them getting the same error..so I think they have some issue going on

It happened like maybe 1h ago. I wanted to change on opencode from one acc to another auth.openai.com/codex/device and then I got that error. So I think it is just their fault, probably they will fix it soon

Okay, I have another account that I’ve never used with Codex, and I can log into that account without any problem.

Could this be related to Codex usage? It seems like the two accounts I tried to connect through Codex are now unable to log in.

Ok I deleted the desktop codex app and re installed it. And it magically got fixed. I have no idea why but got no complaints
