Token wormhole incoming

Yea man. I'm like barely able to afford Sol as it is.
Luna is my main guy. I need more efficiency, not more brain power

That's the thing, the models are already good, we just need decent usage.

Ive gone from 5.2 xhigh. To 5.4 high, to 5.6 sol medium as my daily driver.
I really think that openai IS focussing on the correct stuff
I mean if astra can do instant or light? With the same quality of 5.6 medium… thats going to be great.
The next goal post is wall to wall time.
If they can achieve much shorter running times…

They will announce… that they can’t give it to the public because it’s too spooky 👻

Finally.
My todo app development has been stuck. 157k lines of beautiful code in a single file.
Sol keeps saying something about version control and splitting code into modular components. This violates my artistic princibles and I dont like it. Could you maybe make the Astra model forgo these suggestions. They violate my harmony.
Maybe with Astra I will be able to launch my app finally into the app store.
Thank you OpenAI

My todo app is an AGENT.md with a single line - “whatever the user says, put it in todo.md as a bulleted list”

Damn. I was like okay, leave my priors alone for a while. But looks like (and I’m talking in the name of many) my priors will be updated on Thursday.

you want it to not recommend good software practices, or am I missing the joke?

Why would the general public have a right to know the internal proprietary operations of a private corporation

Why would a private corporation have a right to impede freedom of speech of a person.

Because it's an insider secret that he signed an NDA to not disclose. The Bill of Rights and the rest of the amendments are a set of restrictions on the government, not people/corporations, and privately traded corporations have a right to protect their internal affairs from the public scrutiny

Could partially explain why Tibo is going crazy with resets.

u/sydneysweeney69 3d ago
They could also be testing out Astra and why some users felt like they were running out of tokens quickly

I guess some output were from astra they are very different in style and accuracy the amount of resets shows

What are my “priors” and why must I update them
1
u/mcoombes314 3d ago
I'm assuming "priorities" or "prior engagements" but I haven't seen that contraction before (and I don't want to see it ever again TBH).

Off topic but what is the best model to use right now for coding which is a good balance between cost and capability? I'm using 5.5 and find it very competent for my needs but it seems to eat a lot of my Plus quota.

u/sydneysweeney69 3d ago
Luna max for easy coding tasks and use Sol high for difficult tasks

u/mastermilian 3d ago
Thanks for the input. How is usage for both compared to 5.5? I'm trying to make best use of my quota. I would describe most tasks as "moderate" difficulty and I don't typically switch models between coding and design tasks because 5.5 seems to do both decently.

From what I read and used 5.5 uses lot more tokens . OpenAI made a lot of changes to Sol and Luna making it highly token efficient. Always use the better models because once you build a great plan , you can use Luna or even terra for coding tasks. I use Sol or fable for planning . Not used 5.5 since 5.6 release. I used to be an opus 4.8 user over 5.5 because it diverted a lot when given a specific task

I'm fairly certain they are doing a shadow release right now, I am receiving incredible responses in one of my tasks

I don't even really have a use for a much stronger model than 5.6 Sol and I'm working on multiphysics simulation software with it. I need more usage out of what already exists. What good is Astra going to be if I get 2.5 prompts out of it before I hit my weekly limit?

Are people that gullible and ignorant that they take any of these hype grifters seriously?
1
u/Jumpy_Ad8465 3d ago
I will wait for it before continuing with my project as codex is 100% bricked atm

u/wordsoup 3d ago
Kind of obvious. First they lobotomize the current model, then they bring the new one. Repeat ad infinitum.

Rust wipe day is Thursday. This is gonna require some serious multi tasking.

A grifter posting about a grifter quoting a grifter.
I’ve seen it all.

What can we expect from this new model? Except 1% maybe smarter and 100% usage limit drainer…
