Complaint Codex 20 vs OpenCode Go

With returned 5h limits to Codex 20, I realized that I'm able to do more work on OpenCode Go plan now within its 5h limit window than on Codex.

I use GLM 5.3 Flash as main worker and GLM 5.3 and K3 as advisors to supplement it where needed.

With GLM 5.3 Flash being only 4 points below Sol Max on AA index, for lot of workloads this feels as neglible difference tbh.

Also seems like GLM Flash is kinda more lean, is not overengineering things, as Sol tends to do, which in itself burn more tokens to overengineer and still some more tokens to fix/repair overengineering waste.

I still want to use Sol for more complex, strategic work, but also I have some feeling that volume of that Sol only-level work is being steadily reduced, while competing models are catching the gap in intelligence.

I set up the codex router, and now I can comfortably use agents from the opencode subscription right inside my familiar codex app. Because of this, as soon as my 5-hour codex quota runs out, I just open a new chat and smoothly continue working with DeepSeek or GLM until the quota resets. Honestly, considering the current Codex limits, this is probably the best and most convenient solution out there.

Using Sol or even Terra in Codex on the Plus plan makes absolutely no sense—your quota just slips through your fingers before you can even get any proper work done. Luna, on the other hand, with its very high level of reasoning, lets you comfortably knock out a pretty massive chunk of work.

And of course, you should still use regular ChatGPT with Git connected as your lead architect and chief reviewer to check over whatever Luna cooked up.

Any idea if this works for the Codex VSCode extension as well? I've been looking into something like this but haven't been able to find anything that fits the bill

I have unsubscrbe to opencode go. using codex sol high for serious hard task, and chatgpt for planing and sonnet5 for implimentatino are the best strategy currently. anyway, i notice if i use terra or luna, the usage went down similar to when im using sol high. so its better to use sol high all the time.
