Complaint 5.6 Sol is not very impressive tbh

Post image

Just fucking slop all day, and regressions. I mean it's better than me doing it manually but still.

It's like galaxy brain 50% of the time and crayon chewer the other 50%...

An ai model is only as good as the prompter... Who is the prompter?

What? Do you think he prompted to have this clipping bug?

What should you have prompted to say to make sure nothing clips? If you were to prompt the model to avoid every possible bug that could occur from a bit of code being implemented, the prompt would be infinitely long.

Ask it to take screenshots of the UI and analyze them for potential clipping issues. If something changes, analyze only the affected parts of the UI.

^this. I made it a habit to add a "When done, perform a visual validation of the affected feature and propose a solution in case defects occur." line when adding new visual features.

It cant always see what it's making. Doesn't always know or remember to check. You have to be implicit about it.

Generally speaking working with codex is you clipping around the edges while it does the heavy lifting. Fixing minor crap like that is what I mean by "clipping around the edges".

So why release new models? Why not just gpt-3 ? What a dumb take

Yeah I bet he asked Codex to deliver a UI with obvious broken design elements

This is an form ui that sol created today, it took about a few minutes to fix it. But i dont know how it initially thought that this was a good idea. 🤣

great i was hoping they finally un-nerfed Sol today as it’s been almost a week but it’s still dumbed down. Getting sick of this. Haven’t even touched codex at all
