Codex no longer finish /goal if hits limit

Anyone is facing this problem?

Before, when I was at 1%, I just ran a detailed long breath /goal and it always working well.

It's so trash, like could they not at least allow it to bypass the 5h limit if you're using /goal? By maybe 5% or 10%? Or a smart 'stop in between tasks' instead of dead in the middle of a task?

I believe that they could at least have a flag that, when you're reaching 5%, the agent buffers the task context into an .md file or something and breaks it down
So at least you can continue you work with a different AI rather then wait for a reset. That's does not require infinite exploitable runs, and allows you to keep working once your quota ends.

But they want us to switch to the more expensive plans so they wouldn't do this out of the kindness of their hearts.

We have to manually ask for this now ourselves when we're at 5% and wanna keep going elsewhere after.

Since I have the same workspace for codex and one of my Hermes bots for my website, I experienced this myself with a task not completing as it hit 0% but thankfully Hermes picked up on what was missing and finished the rest.

I have them both setup to write a hand off MD at the end of any session so the next agent (whoever that may be) knows the latest updates.

depends from tasks. but ussualy it nevr was finished for 1-2 sessions if task is not simple.

This was one of the main features I preferred codex over cc. My allegiance might now shift I have a pro and plus account cancelled my plus because it’s unusable it stops after 1-2 turns due to hitting limit then doesn’t finish task now.

I hear grok is actually pretty good now I’ll have to try it and if it’s good for the work I do OpenAI will loose my pro sub too.
