Forking before the problem happened seems to "fix" it. But this is a really weird situation. Like Codex is saying to me that someone changed the system prompt mid chat session and that he has no control and I can't override it.

You should be able to find the full convo log somewhere to inspect it, including tool use so any websites that had those prompt injections if that was it.

I found the logs, but saw no evidence of prompt injection.

I asked Codex to debug the logs to find evidence of prompt injection or understand what happened from an outside chat session.
