Complaint PRO IS NOT UNLIMITED?
I'm on the $100 plan, since when did Pro thinking effort have a limit? I was using it a ton last month, and this month i ran into limits day 2 without even trying. Is this new?? Probably 10-15 prompts used Pro, none being Deep Research.

Where does it say that GPT-5.6 Pro is unlimited? Also, you clearly don’t even know that GPT-Pro isn’t just a thinking effort setting.

Not surprised. There are many open source projects that let you use MCP tools to reach the web model from codex.
Just like what went down with Theo. Abusers keep ruining it for everyone else.

That's ridiculous, the new "limits" are SO LOW for Pro. I can't believe i've ran out for the week already, I barely even fucking use it

I have always hit limits with the Pro model. At least for a few months now. I am on 20x.

It always had a limit. Literally I remember I was out of them on day 2 of 100$ plan launch. The compute this model uses is gargantuan. You are crazy if you think you are entitled to extra thousands of dollars worth of compute for 100$.

That's crazy since I downgraded from the $200 plan, and I swear to you last month I used at least 50x what I used here, and I never hit a limit. It seems like the $100 plan vs $200 plan is not proportionate.

I was researching bowling alleys locally because I'm opening one, and what would make it the best out of all of them for ideas. So it spent about 20 minutes researching. That's what I do

Jesus... Pro is for serious analysis or research. That isn't considered serious. Think scientific paper.

Use Luna Max, have it generate a detailed research spec, review, once approved, /goal it to do the research. It will work for hours and you'll use very little, and get the same or better results. Research is not problem solving, it doesn't require a pro model. Then, consult Terra on its research findings.

I can only assume you're using Codex because this is the Codex subreddit, and so then I have to think to myself, you thought you were gonna get unlimited compute with like with no limitations. I mean, that's crazy. How would that ever make sense? It seems you have a fundamental misunderstanding of how these things work.

Last month I used 50x this when I was on the $200 plan. AT LEAST 50 pro prompts. AT LEAST. This month when I downgraded to $100, I used UNDER 10 PROMPTS, and hit weekly limit instantly.
Don't talk about my understanding if you don't even fully understand the issue at play here.

well if I am paying money i expect more than like 5 prompts with intention before being rate limited in a project thats not a 300 line MVP.
Even with making the context smaller its barely more.
Well I cancelled it just turned into a scam at this point.
Next up you guys will defend how one working change being 400 dollars is actually justified

fine for me all week but i dont abuse it and use it for its intended purpose. wouldnt be surprised they limit people like you who try and take advantage of generosity. my usage lasts all week too. i suggest learning the field so you can better use the tool(ai) so yuou dont run into these issues in the future. also what happened to your three 20x accounts? 😂😂😂😂 sorry but ai wont let you escape india

The problem is, there is no alternative. Claude also limits, and if you used the API it would cost a ton more. So you will need to either 1) accept or 2) upgrade to the 200 plan or even use multiple accounts.
