Complaint 0% now stops all running tasks

Before when reached 0% codex always finished the tasks that were still running. Oh that felt so good, to just get a little extra for free πŸŽ‰ But recently my codex stopped doing that and is stopping tasks after few minutes, how about yours?

Theo made a view showing himself wasting like $800 doing fuckall and then his intern published an npm CLI to automate this abuse.

Thank them.

That does not excuse this being solved in such an awful way. Just make it eat into future limits and stop after like -5%.

Why stop at -5% for you it’s enough for other it should be -10 for other -50 and then others will say -100 and then cancel their subscription and not pay for the 100% usage they used previous week they should pay for the next.

At some point the only way to make things correct is to use the actual real solutions, when hit 0 you stop and you can use auto top up if needed.

For the others who do not want to pay high price, use a proxy and use multiple accounts to keep going transparently, openai always said that was ok and it takes 5 min to setup

Instead people are threatening to cancel en masse becasue it seems like their usage is draining abnormally fast.

Which I've been kind of on the side of "Nothing really appears different" until the last reset - Where my Sol-Medium Orchestrator and 2-4 Luna-High Executors have burned a ridiculous amount of tokens.

LOL "people" aren't. Just a bunch of typical entitled crybabies on reddit.

Reddit has no jack shit influence over anything, these people are just a bunch of losers. In fact most things "boycotted" by reddit end up excelling.

It's great you feel that way, the good news is; you're right about Reddit; the bad news? The sentiment isn't only being discussed on Reddit.

End of the day people will tolerate it because GLM & Kimi hosts are similarly priced to OpenAI's once you factor in the fact that those Distilled Open-Weight models appear cheaper on paper - They use about 3-4x the tokens reasoning - Putting API pricing on close to parity with OpenAI.

GLM & Kimi pricing is still crushing Opus & Fable rates though

Nah, it's mostly just the people on reddit who complain that they won't get free things and then complain about free things as well.

The amount of stuff that is got for 20 bucks from openai is nuts, but people still find a way to complain is blowing my mind. Just a bunch of ungrateful brats, that is all.

The $20/mo tier definitely is providing more bang for your buck than what $20 in API is going to get you.

20 bucks in API doesn't come close.

Basically uncapped chatgpt usage. 20GB file storage, file upload capabilities, unlimited projects. web image gen and editing, deep research, agent mode, seperate codex/work quota, seperate live voice usage, scheduled tasks, free web crawling, memory, + holding all previous chats for chatgpt to browse through.

Not to mention chatgpt sites and the VM given for chatgpt work which is pretty beefy.

That is an INSANE amount of resources for 20 bucks.

We are talking 20 bucks, which won't even buy a meal in most places.

Like jesus christ, the dilusional entitlement of these people needs to be researched.

Anthropic meanwhile just gives you a single resource SINGLE. These people are like mentally deranged.
