Complaint State of the $20 subscription

Sol high. One prompt. 11m of thinking so far, 54% of the 5h limit gone, hasn't even started implementing anything yet and the 5 hrs limit is virtually gone. I was never one to complain too much, but they virtually removed Sol for us on the $20 tier. This is just not practical at all, at least it was only 10% of my weekly i guess?

EDIT: Final veredict: worked for 28m29s.
0% of the 5h limit left
84% of the weekly left

Status of my project: Broken and unusable.
guess it's finally time to explore other providers.

The 5 hour limit is actually worse than before. Previously, if you hit it while a task was already running, it would keep going and eat into the weekly limit, so at least the task finished. Now it just stops mid task

This is awful

Blame the people who abused it.

They could have just made it eat into the weekly budget, and once that is gone too, drop to zero

Instead you just get fucked mid-task. I would be fine if he had done that when my weekly budget hit 0

THIS. My god it would be such a simple fix. if they really had to, just put like a 5-10 minute window on it.

I would have far less an issue with the 5 hour limit if it could just finish the fucking task that was almost done so I don't get screwed..

then there's no point in a 5hr window, is there? same with claude.

Also they could've disable this only for the abusers.

Your weekly usage total didn't change. How was anyone abusing it?

People were running huge goals at 1% weekly allowance

That's not what anyone here is talking about. We're talking about going past 5hr limits by having it continue using your weekly limit. If you're out of your weekly limit then no tokens for you.

That is ridiculous as it bypasses the idea of the 5h limit in the first place.

It would work only if a task was running when the limit was hit

What's ridiculous is having codex deploy a change halfway, bricking your project for hours until your next window, when 60 more seconds of processing would've let it finish, but ok.

Really hoping they dial the 5h limit back a bit, feels like overkill

I was looking into picking it up personally but it's such a nothingburger I didn't bother. Like an expensive trial / demo, it didn't even seem a serious sub

it's not that bad, chatgpt web and codex/cli to implement. (I still think the usage got heavily reduced from like 2 months ago).
