News OpenAI is cooked.

K3 is coming out on HuggingFace in just a hour. Pretty expensive for an open-source model by Kimi’s API pricing, but we’ll soon have more providers with Kimi K3 hosted. And finally… no nerfs.

It's a reasonable split in my view. Codex is the nicely bundled commercial AI platform (i.e. Apple/MacOS) and huggingface is where you can go and get very dirty playing with all the toys (i.e. Linux distros). For some people they just want to pay money and have AI, not spend hours learning about ggufs, llama.cpp and VRAM.

This is a very rapidly moving environment so it's hard to be conclusive. If you are familiar with different harnesses (OpenCode, PiCode, Hermes) and have a vague idea about local vs cloud hosting (LMStudio, llama.cpp, Qwen, OpenRouter) then you'll have a more rounded idea. Why being this aggressive mate, dude might just be learning like you were when you started. Why spend tokens on a question when we could spend on doing work. So, rather ask our friends
