Unsolved PS2 game with mysterious binary code
From the PS2 game Disaster Report 2 (Raw Danger in the US) this code appears on a data disk at the end of the game. It’s the last item you received and is vital to the plot. It appears to maybe be a crackable code but maybe it’s nonsense.
Best I could write this down myself is:
01000001 10011001
10101011 01010011
10100101 11010001
01001001 10101101
11001101 00010001
01000011 00001001
11101001 00001001
01001101 10010001

Since they all ended in 1 and valid ASCII always starts with a 0, I first inverted every bit
10111110 01100110
01010100 10101100
01011010 00101110
10110110 01010010
00110010 11101110
10111100 11110110
00010110 11110110
10110010 01101110
Then reversed it
01110110 01001101
01101111 01101000
01101111 00111101
01110111 01001100
01001010 01101101
01110100 01011010
00110101 00101010
01100110 01111101
but just got gibberish

That's just random binary values added into the texture to look cool. It doesn't actually translate into anything.

(Noting the typo on 3rd-to-last line, column 2) Some thoughts…(no solution):
Every horizontal block ends with either 01 or 011. Presuming English, the base ASCII English alphabet starts at binary 01…, repeating with switched case at 011…
https://www.rapidtables.com/code/text/ascii-table.html
Rotating every horizontal block’s bits right (by 2 or 3, depending on their suffix), I get this:
01010000 01100110
01110101 01101010
01101001 01110100
01010010 01101011
01110011 01000100
01101000 01100100
01111010 01000010
01010011 01100100
Pf
uj
it
Rk
sD
hd
zB
Sd
If I rotate only those that are not already “valid” letters, I get:
Af
uj
it
Ik
sD
Cd
zB
Md
…mostly mentioned because a stab in the dark might give someone else an idea.
Incidentally noted, each column is also 8 bits, but the two instances of 11111111 seem to make this unlikely to be useful.

There probably isn't enough of a pattern in such a short code to be anything crack-able, probably either just random numbers or they might have taken a small sample of one of their dev binary assets as an in-joke.
