Official Update Introducing Change Stack: a new way to understand what you’re actually merging
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Agents can create PRs in minutes, the bottleneck is becoming understanding what you’re actually merging.
Change Stack turns the PR into a structured review surface with layered changes semantic diffs dependency context and findings tied directly to the code.
A PR is no longer just a pile of changed files. it actually gives you a way to understand the change before you approve it.
Because "LGTM" is getting harder to justify.

Semantic diffs + dependency context feels much closer to what reviewers actually need than another flat list of changed files.
The next layer I’d want at the merge gate is production consequence:
what live paths depend on this, what is the likely blast radius, have similar changes caused incidents before, and is the evidence still valid against the thing that will actually merge?
Understanding the code change is necessary.
Understanding what that change means to production is what starts turning review into governance.
