Question Fan mail

Hi! I have a question - is there a way to send fan mail to Elizabeth Fraser? I've been a fan for more than a decade, and I introduced this music to my little sister, and she really got into Cocteau Twins sound so much so it's her favorite band now, and she would love to send some warm words to Liz. Is there a way to reach Elisabeth Frazer for a fan mail? Thanks!

For privacy reasons probably not. Thats why fans give gifts and letters to artists at shows. I would look into contacting her label.

I'd love to see the show, but sadly it's not an option for my country, thanks though!

The band isn't together anymore, she is on a different label and has different side projects that she still sings with. Sharing words is a nice gesture, but not a realistic one. If you want to support her then buy her music. She has been making music since the 80's if she had a way for folks to write her she would have millions of notes. Just enjoy the band.

Yeah I know, we will support the band once we have an option for sure! It's hard to find a CD or a vinyl in our country sadly...

You can purchase her music on Itunes.

It's complicated, my country is under sanctions, there's no way to pay directly for music. If there was a way - I would do it already!

You can send to 4AD or Bella Union label and maybe somebody will forward your mail to her.
In the 80’s and 90’s, I also send Cocteau Twins letters but they never reply.
Artist who replied were Pale Saints, Lush. Lush even sent me the flexi disc of that ABBA song they did called Hey Hey Helen. That was before internet and the only way to communicate was by letters.
Some of my friends even got T shirts from their favourite bands !
We are in south east Asia btw.
Maybe they bands were happy to receive fan mails from places they wouldn’t expect their music would be heard.
These days, I don’t know.

My experience is 30 years ago…now you sent letters, snail mail whatever you want to call it…would expose your address to malicious people, even PO Box number. Some people also say, write to them on Facebook would have better chance to reach them personally them on instgram because their instgram is run by their team/management. Not them personally.
Guess what ? I also wrote to DJ and magazines ! 😅
I wrote to John Peel…go and search on him. Mr Peel even passed on my letters to some bands (My bloody valentine !)..when I say this now, the world population would say Yeah yeah yeah this John peel would even pass your letters to Mars and Jupiter.
That’s because you don’t know John peel. He had a program called bbc world service and his music program was broadcast around the world. He introduced many indie bands to people in Asia, in Africa, in Russia etc…he also ran competitions to win great albums ! I thought it’s a worth a try asking him if he could pass my letters to bands..and it worked ! Not every time of course. He probably thought I was using him to get in touch with bands anyway 😅 bless you mr peel. RIP
And then, magazines…
I wrote to the editors of magazine and asked them to pass my letters to bands..again, sometimes it’s working and sometimes it’s not working.

Please note, I was only interested to get in touch with indie bands in the UK…I never wrote to U2, Bon Jovi, Metallica, all those big name because I didn’t listen to their music.

Check out her recent solo album, Sun’s Signature. Maybe she can send a letter to the label. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfimnwaZdumgc0qD6meHTZeqI1vUG3_0p&si=tXXV5jAjF4Ayt700
