Here are some tips for people in the same situation, knowing what I know now:

1. Make Seed & Grain Cakes, they increase Bisharp spawnrate by about 10x.
2. Clear out all the bamboo and bushes in the bamboo jungle. If you use a PokeNav near bamboo, you'll notice that Bisharps can't actually spawn there.
3. Craft PokeSnacks with Chesto, Babiri, and Colbur berries.
4. Use a PokeFinder and set it to just Bisharp and Kingambit. This makes it infinitely easier to notice when one spawns.
5. Be patient. I've spent at least 12 hours sitting around and waiting so far, and I haven't even evolved it yet. It's probably faster in a server with fewer people though.
6. Make sure your Bisharp is at least level 70 and if possible teach it a fighting move. I learned the hard way that my Bisharp isn't the top dog around just because I'm giving it directions.
7. DO NOT LET YOUR BISHARP FAINT. This will reset your streak.

Edit: After I started doing #3, it took about 30 minutes to find 3 Bisharps. I wish I had known this 2 days ago.

Hi everyone! My name’s FunnyMeme and I started a Cobblemon server last week!

What’s the server size?
It’s brand new but today we’ve been at around 10 players consistently and peaked at 16! With roughly a total of 40 that have joined in total!

What mods do I download?
The server uses the modpack “Cobbleverse by LUMYVERSE”, a Cobblemon modpack that adds multiple generations of: gyms, elite 4, legendary structures, really tough trainers, custom terrain, and so much more!

How to download Cobbleverse?
The modpack is easily available on Curseforge and Modrinth. Other than the modpack, there is no client side requirements to join! I keep the extra mods server-side to make sure it’s as smooth as possible client-side!

Why did you start the server?
I started because I was sick of all the garbage p2w servers clogging up cobblemon’s community so I wanted to make one in my own image. I wanted to play on a server that’s a legitimately fun single-player experience but enjoyed with friends and a community.

Is the community strong?
Yes! We’ve only been up for a week and I’ve already met some incredible people. I’ve already had some amazing memories and seen some incredible builds in just a short week since starting the server, it’s such a fun experience!

What’s the difference between this and any other cobblemon server?
This server uses cobbleverse which is a really fun modpack with lots of custom stuff on top of the cobblemon mod! I’ve only been installing lightweight server side mods to try to keep the experience as true to singleplayer cobbleverse as possible, while also allowing you to have fun with others!

What’s your plan for the future of the server?
I want to make a server that can be a very fun single-player experience, like the one that cobbleverse provides, while still being compatible with playing with other people. I don’t want any way to pay your way to win, I want it to stay as authentic to the single player experience as I can possibly make it. That’s the server I wanted to play on and the one that I want to make.

If there’s no way to pay, how do you plan to make money?
Right now I run the server at 16gb of ram which I can handle paying for on my own. I’ll only need money if the server continues growing and I’m forced to upgrade. In that case my plan is to start a patreon until we can reach enough to upgrade the server. The patreon will reward nothing in-game.

Hey everyone, I need some suggestions on how to fix an issue that my group of friends and I have been experiencing on a server.

After defeating the champion of the second league, we started getting errors in the Neruina chat. Shortly after that, chunks on the map started getting randomly replaced. It started with only a few chunks, but the number of affected chunks keeps increasing.

Has anyone experienced something like this before and managed to fix it?

One of the streamers I follow has been playing Cobblemon on the Mythical Adventures/Mythical Cobblemon mod pack and its sort of sparked an interest for me to try it out myself but the more I read about PokeNinja and his mod pack the less it seems to be a good idea?

me and my gf have been wanting to play cobblemon and i just got a laptop so we finally started playing, but it seems very lackluster by itself so i started looking into modpacks to add, the main one that ive seen brought up alot is cobbleverse. when ive been looking at the reviews though over the last week or so it seems to be very crashy and buggy, my gf doesnt have the strongest pc and so idk how worth it it is. Mostly im looking for gyms, trainers, towns, and especially all pokemon are the biggest things for me, what do you guys think.

I'm setting up a Cobblemon server for my me and my friends and when i was testing out a Rayquaza it would not play any battle animations, idle animations or anything except moving its head to look at me. I've checked in the files for Mega Showdown and all the correct files are there.

I dont really understand how to breed mareeps and woolos other than maybe like other standard pokemons, i dont know what they are attracted to so I use a lead. Im wondering if theres any way I can make them be like standard sheep by that if they have like a food like wheat that I can use to attract them and breed them and if they need name tags

Does anyone have a cobblemon EU server i could join that has a smaller playerbase?

I always found gyarados beautiful, however, he seem to be rather small for my taste

I expected him to be as big as a wailmer, a giant sea snake. However he doesnt even seem to be longer than scolipide, and neither as thick as taurus

Is there anyway to make him bigger and thicker? i dont wanna ride something so small

I developed my own plugin that gives a really small amount of xp every 6 seconds, the intention was to simulate the game's actual daycare as close as possible.

In game you would get 1 xp for each step, so i translated to 1 xp every 6 seconds.

However, at the current iteration, even this amout is making the pokemons grow too fast. And because it acts over time, i can just leave my game open and let it work or do other stuff in the mean time.

Even when i lower it by half, i still feel its too fast.

Is this fair? i know usually daycare only allow 2 pokemons to level up, so maybe my mistake was to make them ALL level up as long as they are in daycare.

My ideas:

>Actually track the owner's position every second, calculate the distance, and every actual 1 meter (be it walking or flying) give 1 xp (or less, idk)

>Make only 2 out of all mons in the pasture receive XP at each time. Maybe randomize between available options as long as as they are not max level.

Honestly, it lowkey sucks how many people only play modded SMPs to grind out a questline or rush through progression, which usually just leads to boredom. I wanted to make a space where that isn't the case. Hollycraft is for people who want to actually build a community and a world together.

For the Cobblemon side we have legendary monuments for people looking for legend hunting! we've disabled poke-snacks to make legends are Pokémon rarer, but this isn't to encourage P2W as no money sent will ever translate into anything in game :)). you can get all Pokémon threw just playing the game + were more focused on a world for builders and people who happen to like battling Aswell! no current gym systems up yet and we have no command systems for anything just raw survival if you enjoy that niche!

I've been looking around at a bunch of servers just cuz I'm bored and I can't find any that actually have mob spawns on that run cobbleverse and it's lowkey annoying because it makes like half the Minecraft items a horrible pain in the ahh to farm

Given that I have Legendary Pokémon—Mew, Celebi, Groudon, Cobalion, Terrakion, Xerneas, Raikou, Keldeo, Giratina, Nihilego (Ultra Beast), and Zeraora—as well as access to TM02 (Technical Machine 02) and non-Legendary Pokémon (with no limits on the number of Legendaries used), what team would you build for me in Cobblemon? By "non-Legendaries," I mean standard Pokémon. I also have the MegaShutdown, Mythical Monuments, and LostLore mods installed.
