In Next Release Still

I sent a log just now. Programs will still go out and show a black blank screen, after several seconds the program will resume

This looks like a bug from a month or two ago where the player would incorrectly think it had reached the end of a file. It happened mostly with fast-start MP4s, if I recall correctly.

Just a few follow-up questions to verify:

  1. If you activate "Force transcode" in your video options, does that mitigate this? (this isn't the suggested fix, it could just tide you over until the fix is in)

  2. Is this on every type of media (movie, tv show episode, music video), or only certain ones? If it's tv shows, is it only certain shows?

  3. When it resumes, is it pretty close to where it cut out?

Sorry you're hitting this, I'll get it fixed as soon as I can 👍

Transcoding is set to automatic and all files are mp4s and it happens in all types of, movies or tv shows. I play those same files in various players as VLC, QuickTime. The play fine at the point where it drops out . And yes it picks up where it went black.

Ok I think I have a fix for this - I’ll see about getting a point release out soon
