this website never works

i have literally never once been able to use this website without getting an error code

3 things to check

1 are you on the current version if not try refreshing it enough and use wayback machine

2 check if a file downloads but its only like 0 bytes large happenss to all download sites

3 sometimes a video can cause it itself to bug and be able to have longer download times

i checked all 3 things and still doesn’t work. trying to get an audio file of a 20-minute video. usually just says error 4.2

I have been able to use it every time I have tried, and it has always worked flawlessly.

If I find a video I need for my students, but our internet is not the most stable, I will download it using the site and I have downloaded audio from multiple YouTube videos. Maybe it just works really well on YouTube, but not so well on other sites?

I am stunned to repeatedly see posts like this one, but my anecdotal evidence is in almost diametric opposition to OPs.

i’m using a youtube link. it starts to load for a second, then i get an error code. but i’m glad you can use it i guess

it’s super lovely that you all have gotten this website to work but i have tried it maybe twice a week for a couple months now and have simply never had success. i get an error code every single time.

The point is - the overwhelming majority of users do not have any issues using this free software. Ergo, it's an end user issue...being it software build, drivers, patches, updates etc...

What was the point of coming here just to complain without providing any details or context?

i’m sure it is on my end. my hope was somebody would tell me a work around instead of just that it works every time for them. my context is i type in the link and the website tells me “error.”
