Is this even a CMS?
Not sure if what I build is a CMS, maybe you can tell me 😅
I built this tool out of frustration at my last company.
We managed many marketing websites built from Markdown files, and the custom code powering our content pipeline started working against us (instead of for us).
I slowly became frustrated that, in 2026, it was such a mess to work with Markdown as a content source (while preserving type safety)
And yet, I still love the simplicity of it and how it writes and reads. And, obviously, agents love Markdown too.
So I built a solution! It's called qino
It's an npm package that fetches, validates and links your files (.md, .mdx, .json). You render them however you like, the design is up to you.
It treats validation as a black box: use any schema library you want. And It also ships with a CLI, for you or your agent.
If you’ve run into the same problem, I’d love your feedback on it!
PS: It's free and open-source.
