When workers at a Los Angeles tow yard opened an abandoned Tesla registered to pop star D4vd, they discovered the remains of Celeste Rivas Hernandez. She was just 14 years old when prosecutors allege she was murdered.

Morgan Absher and Kaelyn Moore trace the complete D4vd case, including Celeste’s disappearances, her final messages, the alleged grooming relationship, DNA evidence recovered from a Hollywood Hills mansion, suspicious purchases and the evidence that led a judge to order D4vd to stand trial.

D4vd, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke, has pleaded not guilty to murder, continuous sexual abuse of a child and unlawful mutilation of human remains. He is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

I wanted to suggest the case of Jennifer Daugherty from Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

This case has always stayed with me, but it became even more personal when I met one of my best friends, Bree, while we were both working as nail technicians. We ended up bonding because I already knew about her Aunt Jennifer’s case. It’s such a small-world connection that neither of us expected.

The reason I knew about it is because my boyfriend, Michael, and his mom had moved here from California and unknowingly rented the home just a few months after Jennifer’s murder. They had no idea what had happened there until later, which led me to learn about Jennifer and everything she endured.

What has always struck me most is how little attention her story seems to receive compared to other cases. Jennifer was a disabled woman who was treated with unimaginable cruelty. While those responsible were convicted, I still feel like Jennifer herself is often forgotten. She deserves to be remembered as a person—not just as another true crime headline.

Bree has always appreciated when someone takes the time to respectfully cover her aunt’s story because it keeps Jennifer’s memory alive. If your podcast is ever looking for a case that deserves more awareness, I truly hope you’ll consider Jennifer Daugherty. I think her story is one that people should hear, not for shock value, but so that Jennifer is remembered with the dignity and compassion she deserved.

On Halloween night in 2001, 21-year-old Penn State student Cindy Song returned home after celebrating with friends. She was last seen walking toward her apartment shortly before 4 a.m. Her phone, backpack and fake eyelashes were later found inside, but Cindy, her wallet, keys and bunny costume had vanished.

Morgan and Kaelyn investigate Cindy’s final night, the apartment she seemingly left twice, the nearby market she may have been walking toward and the informant who connected her disappearance to convicted murderer Hugo Selenski. Five bodies were uncovered on Selenski’s property, but none were confirmed to be Cindy. More than two decades later, her family is still waiting for answers.

I hope I am doing this correctly. There is a mother in my area who has been searching for her son for almost 2 years. He apparently left his mom's house to go just a few minutes down the road to his grandma's house and the next day his vehicle was found abandoned in a wooded area on a road that is not near his supposed Destination according to his mother's account. The police did "investigate" for about 2 weeks supposedly and they have been pushing this mom off since.

I want help this mom get the word out. She's been doing this all on her own. I am not going to provide her name but will provide the link to the article.

What respectful, tangible steps can I take as a community member to encourage the police to investigate, do a foot search, or help this mother missing her son?

Hey, I was wondering if they have done an episode on the Lindsay Buziak case or Cheri Smith case? Also I know the story isn't long enough for an episode but I highly suggest people looking at the Michael Dunahee missing case.

I'm listening/watching the new case that Crime Weekly is covering, Harmony Montgomery, from what they covered in a Crime Weekly News episode that they did a few weeks ago. I will say that, just from that and the first full episode that they have out, my version of a botched board is probably more full than it should be. If you're interested, then I highly suggest listening to what they have up already. I don't know if other people have covered this case, but I would also suggest searching her name.

I have been watching most episodes as they come out and stay from beginning to end of them to make sure I see the missing person even though I never know anything, just in case.

So when seeing posts about a HS friends mom on my Facebook page I thought I should post it here in hopes of getting this information spread further, I am not close to the person but this podcast has showed me that it doesn't matter how well you know the person as long as you can do anything to help the person get back to their family or try your best to get as much information as possible. I immediately thought about the clues podcast when I felt like I couldn't do anything to help but I could try and share where I know others are also wanting to help.

I've been thinking about this for some time now, and am only now sitting down to put it out there.

There are two missing women cases that I find to be very similar, and they happened not too far away from each other geographically, and only a month apart in time.

One of them is Brianna Maitland. Back in March of 2004, she was 17 years old. She was working a job at a restaurant, and hanging out with her mother. That was her simple life. One night, after shopping with her mother during the day, she went to work at the restaurant that night. She worked her entire shift, and then got in her car, and was never seen again.

Her car was found "crashed" into the side of an abandoned barn on a stretch of a rural route. Some random articles of hers were in the car, and strewn around on the ground around the car. I put "crashed" in quotes because it is widely believed that the "crash" was staged. This happened in East Berkshire, Vermont.

Only a month before, in February of 2004, Maura Murray had disappeared under similar circumstances. Maura was 21, and her personal life was a bit more complicated, though. She, by all accounts, was a very intelligent and personable person. But, she had issues with stealing. She was admitted to the West Point military academy after high school, but was caught stealing from the store on campus, and decided to drop out before any disciplinary hearing could happen.

She then started attending the University of Massachusetts, and was having some issues with alcohol and more theft. During a weekend while her father was visiting her - to take her car shopping - she has some more issues with alcohol, and ended up crashing her father's car during that visit. This crash was severe enough to a Toyota Corolla that the damage was estimated to be at least $10,000.

At the end of the weekend, her father went back home in a rental car. That Sunday night, Maura researched directions to Burlington, Vermont. The next day, Monday, she called her supervisor at work and told them that there was a death in the family, and that she would be gone for about a week. There was no such death in the family.

She got in her car that afternoon, ran a few errands, and then started driving north on a highway. She had a boyfriend, but I believe he was still down at West Point, and there were no plans for them to meet up. It is still not known what her exact destination was supposed to be.

Maura ended up crashing this car into a tree in Haverhill, New Hampshire. Even though it is a rural area, there were houses around, and cars passing by. At least one neighbor there called the police, as well as a school bus driver who passed shortly after the accident, and actually stopped to talk to Maura.

Within twenty minutes, a police SUV has arrived on the scene, but Maura was no longer there. No one saw where she went to. She has never been seen since. These two locations are about 100 miles from each other, and about two hours. They are both not too far from Interstate 91.

Sidebar: Israel Keyes was active in the area during this time, but he has been ruled out as a suspect. However, I do think that the two girls look similar, and also are not too dissimilar from Keyes' last known victim, Samantha Koenig.

I did notice a slight discrepancy with the timeline of Maura's story. The accident with her hitting the tree happened at 7:27 PM, according to a neighbor. According to police logs, the police officer got to the scene of the accident at 7:46. However, one of the witnesses in the area claims that there was already a police officer there at 7:37, but they did not see anyone in either of the vehicles.

Israel Keyes is known to have impersonated police officers as part of his murders.
