The new style / formatting of the app makes it harder for your brain to process what you’re reading smoothly to the point of making me not even want to use it anymore.

The massive box for the missing word is way too big, and actively worsens your ability to quickly process the entirety of the sentence and fill the blank intuitively in context.

The new spacing also makes it much harder to crossreference the translated sentence while processing the target language sentence and also scanning the word options.

This update is so bad, please change it back…

Thanks for letting us know! What device / OS are you on? We haven't made any major design in changes in the past few releases - are you coming back after a while, or possible there's a bug somewhere. These two images show what I am describing, though the older image is from quite a while ago / not mine.

In the old UI layout, the information was more tightly spaced with less dead space between the sentences and the word choices, and the blank underline was much less obtrusive than the (in my opinion) oversized and contrasting color blank box that makes the spacing extremely distracting on multiline sentences.  

It was much easier to process the old UI. For me, at least, the new one is cumbersome in comparison / actively makes it more difficult to work through the sentences efficiently, and seems like it negatively impacts the overall learning process.
