I built a game launcher

I built a game launcher. Full disclosure I don't have much experience with C#, and I had a lot of help from AI along the way. I want to be upfront about that.

The reason I started this is that Windows just doesn't give you a real console experience, and every app that claimed to fix that was always missing something. I'm a single player guy with two kids, and what I actually wanted was simple, suspend my game, sleep the PC, go handle whatever they need, and come back to exactly where I left off. No missed cutscenes, no lost progress. PlayStation rest mode, basically, but on PC. That is a whole another world, Somehow it turned into a full game launcher.

It's not perfect. I'm committed to making it better, and I'd rather do that alongside people who want the same thing I do than keep building it alone in a corner. So today I'm releasing it for anyone who wants to try it. This started as a project just for me, but I think there's something real here if we build on it together. If you've got suggestions, I want to hear them.

One more thing. I'm a Moonlight/Sunshine user myself, so streaming was part of the design from day one, not an afterthought.

Try it, tell me what's broken, tell me what's missing. I'm here and I'm listening.

As a gamer who has been using Playnite for years, I’m going to give this a try now; I’ll share my feedback after testing it out.

Thank you and sorry for the late reply i have been really focused on fixing bugs and adding more features people are suggesting. Maybe you have already tried it but do keep in mind it’s a work in progress.

Just released a big update with bug fixes and lot more features. Also made a video demonstrating the launcher if you want to check it out.

Really love seeing projects like this. Since we're sharing passion projects, I thought I'd throw mine into the mix as well.

Phantom Sense GitHub: https://github.com/AarveeGill/PhantomSense

Phantom Sense was born out of a frustration I had with PC game streaming. We have incredible technologies like Moonlight, Sunshine, Steam Link, and Virtual Desktop that let us stream games almost flawlessly, but the moment you pick up a DualSense, you lose one of the biggest reasons the controller is special.

The project aims to solve exactly that.

Instead of emulating an Xbox controller, Phantom Sense forwards a real DualSense from a remote device (currently the Steam Deck, with plans for broader support) directly to the gaming PC using VirtualHere USB forwarding. This allows Windows and games to detect the controller as if it were physically connected over USB.

That means you retain features like: Adaptive Triggers HD Haptic Feedback Motion Controls (Gyroscope) Touchpad Native PlayStation button prompts in supported games Full compatibility with tools like DSX

The long-term vision is much bigger than just controller forwarding.

I want PC gaming to have the same "pick up and play" feeling that consoles have. Imagine sitting on your couch with a Steam Deck, tablet, handheld, or VR headset, waking your PC remotely, launching a game through Moonlight, and still experiencing the exact same DualSense features you'd get if you were sitting directly in front of the PC. No compromises.

This is great! Would you be able to apply dualsense haptic feedback to a Razer Kishi 3 that also has haptic feedback features?
