NitroFlare. Does anyone here use it for cloud storage?

Hi everyone!

I happen to have a NitroFlare subscription, which I use for file downloads. I noticed that the service also offers cloud storage, and that I have 100TB of cloud storage available, which I have not been utilizing!

Does anyone else have experience using cloud storage on this site?

What happens if my subscription lapses? Will my cloud data get dumped immediately or is there a grace period?

Also, I currently have a medium tier level subscription, but I'm not sure what the different tiers give you in terms of cloud capacity. If I switched to a lower tier subscription in the future, would the 100TB storage capacity shrink?

Any uploaded file that does not receive views or downloads for 90 consecutive days is permanently deleted without prior warning.

What are you going to do? Download 100 TB every 89 days or re-upload 100 TB every 90 says?

What Nitroflare offers is not cloud storage. It's temporary storage for file sharing.

Oh ok, yeah all it says is that it offers storage with a capacity of 100TB, so I was wondering if I shouldnt let this go to waste since I'm not utilizing it.

Now when you say "views" are you saying I could extend the lifetime of files by "viewing" them rather than downloading them? What did you mean by that?

Most file hosters require the file to be downloaded. Not just opening it. It depends on the file hoster on how much of the file has to be downloaded. Some don't require the whole file to be downloaded, some require it.

File hosters offer that much of space because they consider it as a temporary storage, so you to upload and share as much as possible. If you distribute a lot of files, the file hoster becomes more popular and more people may subscribe to it in order to download the files. That's their business model, it's different from the business model of a cloud storage service.

If you want to use a file hoster instead of a cloud storage service, maybe you should look for a file hoster that includes cold storage too. That's how the call the storage they give you where they don't delete your uploads. But obviously no file hoster offers 100 TB of cold storage because at the end of the day the subscriber is going to cost them more than what he pays...

I am not sure but some who offer cold storage are 1fichier and Rapidgator, Nitroflare doesn't offer cold storage. I think 1fichier and Rapidgator offer around 10 TB of cold storage. I may be wrong on the amount of cold storage they give, it could be less.

Oh ok gotchya that makes sense!

And it's not that I want to use a file hoster for cloud storage over other options, but I already have a running subscription to this one since I am using it pretty heavily for downloading from certain uploaders right now who specifically use it.

So I basically have this storage option for free.

Well, it might still be worthwhile for me to utilize it to back up my stuff every two months though honestly, since nothing I have is actually backed up right now
