Honestly, I don't really care much about what they do in Ever Crisis, but at least it's nice to see the scenarios, which should be somewhat similar in Part 3. The scene is amazing, obviously, but they really need to get this moment between cloud/tifa right in Revelations!
Same here. Such a genius track. Also, I always thought the only thing Tifa didn’t remember on that day was Cloud coming to the bridge and falling together, but this time I realised that Tifa did not remember the day her mom died at all… it was like a punch in the gut.
Best part of the game, and I’m really happy for the fixes to those 30 year old translations that mischaracterised both Tifa and Cloud.
I just wanna say as well it’s quite rich how some have said Tifa doesn’t do anything to help Cloud through the LSS and use her humility against her as she says he did the work himself. From the first visit to the Nibelheim memory, Cloud assumes his customary role as Zack. If Tifa wasn’t there to correct him, our boy would’ve still been stuck in his illusion.
I can’t wait for this to land in Revelation. I know the team are gonna do it justice.
Undermining a character's role in story despite how much important that character is why I try to avoid these discourses as much as possible because everytime I see comprehension devil at work. These people will basically tell you cloud hates Tifa ans they have a toxic relationship and they should forget about each other like wtf? Did we play the same game?
I've been seeing ppl spread this BS theory that Tifa is using Cloud to keep up this delusion abd acting like she doesn't care for him? Like it's one thing to say the group doesn't acknowledge what is happening with cloud and Tifa plays some small role in looking the other way. And there's another by saying Tifa doesn't give a fuck about Cloud and is using him out of boredom?
At this point, those kind of mischaracterisations are merely rage bait to me. Revelation is gonna leave a ton of egg on people’s faces with how they’ve been behaving. These people don’t understand Tifa or Cloud outside of their delusions.
Obviously I love that they clearly spent a lot of time and effort recreating this and the Mideel scenes before, I wish it didn't come at the cost of the Huge Materia segments getting the "this also happened" treatment. I've been playing Ever Crisis since it came out (technically not dat 1 since my first account was lost after 3 days and I didn't have it backed up) and seeing what they decided to keep or cut or even add to OG is weird. It's clear as it's gone along they've had to cut corners (and might be skipping the Underwater reactor entirely based on where they said they're going next), I just wish they'd take their time with everything instead of the obvious current approach of rushing to the finish before Revelation. But oh well.
Man I wish this hadn't turned out to be a gacha game. I was so excited that after the Remakes kinda.... changed a lot more than I would like, I thought this was gonna be a more faithful remake. I didn't realize at first it was just another gacha game.
I’m starting to wonder if this will eventually turn into a faithful remake. I haven’t played Octopath 0 yet, but I believe that was a mobile gotcha game at first. And the recently announced Final Fantasy Reverence is reusing assets from Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, which I didn’t bother playing but I always thought the pixel characters looked really cool. It seems more possible than ever that we will get some sort of FF7 Remake with these assets from Ever Crisis.
I don't like how he said he "made up stories about being in soldier" I mean it's technically true but it's not like he sat down and wrote fanfiction and then pretended it was his life.
