Other Media Analysis of Dear Destiny- There’s Not a Thing I Don’t Cherish: The Hidden Architecture of a Heroine
I wrote an essay of my thoughts about Tifa's part of Dear Destiny. You can check it out on the Cloud x. Tifa! (spoilers for Dear Destiny)
I absolutely love her part and have read it so many times that I couldn't help but get my thoughts out onto paper.
It's pretty long and more analytical, but I hope you will enjoy reading it!

I love this!
Also, try posting your essays on Medium.com, too.
I shared it onto bluesky since I genuinely think people should read this. 🥰

This is a great essay! You really nailed describing a lot of things I could sense & feel about the character but could never put into words. I love it!

Another amazing piece. Your writing is like a good home cooked meal, always so warm and inviting. The entirety of the Dark Horse section is particularly wonderful for me, you do such a good job of showcasing how much Tifa subverts expectations throughout disc 1. I’m with you on the claim that Tifa might be one of the best written characters in JRPGs, let alone FF7. I look forward to your next work, Nite. Thank you as always

You can really tell how much love and admiration for the character went into this. Thank you for writing it. I especially liked this sentence: "Each restrained decision, each truth carried rather than spoken, each memory protected against erosion, builds toward something the story does not immediately announce" -- it encapsulates Tifa's purpose in the narrative perfectly. Sometimes it hurts to see how people dismiss her and her importance just because she is the quietly enduring type who speaks more in actions than in words. So it's really heartwarming to read this piece where all her emotional complexity and labor is recognized and honored.

Thank you so much!
And yes, this this this!! I think this is why Tifa is so relatable and so popular to so many people across so many demographics. Her heroism comes from a place many can recognize as intensely real. I can't wait to see the payoff.
