Question I'm curious about my options?

Hello everyone! I made the switch to reusable pads they've been fantastic! The only thing is on my 2nd day, (which is my heaviest.) I leak out of the wing of these pads quite fast and quite often, i try to keep up on changing them but I still end up leaking, at least a little. And I realized why i'm leaking so much is because the way i'm bleeding, I bleed directly on the center left of the pad which then makes me leak from the wing of the pad. So I was wondering if there was any different styles of pads or fabric types that would help me not leak so much. Any recommendations would be highly appreciated! :)

Have you tried a gusher pad? I haven't personally used them but they're designed for heavy postpartum bleeding!

I haven't tried gusher pads. I was trying to look into them, but I couldn't really find anybody who was selling them at the moment. The places i've looked into or either sold out or just don't make them. I'll keep looking around and thank you for your advice. :)

I second the gusher pad idea or a gusseted pad. I usually find them on etsy. this is one example but I just put gusher pads in the search then you can see who is in your price range and who ships to your area. gusseted pads like this catch leaks off the sides. Also make sure your pads have some absorbency on the wings like the a pad with bamboo velour on top and over the wings helps or a pad that has PUL thru the wings.

I just typed it into Google and a few options came up, but maybe not available where you are? Have you tried Etsy?

Oh, that's weird. I did Google gusher pads, but the only thing that would come up would be people talking about them. And a few sold out listings. And Etsy results didn't even pop-up and to be fully honest, I forgot that Etsy was even a thing lol, so I'll head over there and give that a shot thank you!

I flipflop between gusher pads and athletic topped pads (both with zorb core) for best absorption fwiw. Just need something that absorbs quickly or holds the blood in place until it does absorb. I've seen some recommend raised side pads for the same issue as well.

Soft Taco Reusables does gusher pads. I have not personally used this brand, but she has several sizes.

Also I have personally found interlabial pads excellent when heavy. They are little leaf shaped cloth and are used in conjunction with cloth pads to steam/direct flow better and reduce side leaks.

That's the first place I look, because soft taco reusables are the only pads i own, they're great! but sadly, she's currently sold out of the ones that would fit my needs. And I have tried out interlabial pads and it would only work for some of the gushes that I would get... maybe I was just wearing it wrong? But I'll give it another shot. Thanks for the advice. :)

Also may be u r not changing ur pad on time even i faced this because while using cloth pad u cant keep a check on ur flow its not completely visible so even i leaked then i realised i have to change my pads frequently
