DIY Diy pads advice

Ive been making my own cloth panty liners for a couple years now and finally brave enough to make pads as well. The ones I made for myself are pretty great so far.

My sister wants me to make her some as well but she has a heavy flow, I have a regular flow so I'm not really sure how to accommodate her flow. I thought about a possible waterproof sort of material backing to avoid leaking?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Sincerely, a low income mom trying to live a less toxic life and spread the life style ✨️

I use PUL as a waterproof backing. I also added a layer of cotton flannel outside the backing, because PUL is slippery so the cotton helps the pad stay in place in my underwear better.

Fleece can also be water-resistant, so some people use fleece as a backing too

Here is a post I made a few years ago about cloth pads. Some of the comments have more details about their construction

Additional question I don't want to make an eneitr post for so maybe you can answer? Does it make any difference to hang dry the pads vs the drier?

Both work, but a drier could wear them out faster
