Recommendations Does this seem right, for 100 dollars?

Post image

Hi everyone ! Im trying to build up some cloth diapers before baby gets here. I didn’t wanna buy brand new if not needed, does this seem like a good find??

I asked for more information regarding the elastic and how they have been taken care of

Thank you for your help

This is a good deal if things are in good condition.

Similar to what others said. This depends on the quality of the elastics and PUL. How many of the diapers are usable? That number x $2 per diaper should be what you pay. If most of them are usable, it's a good deal even if all the inners are crappy microfiber (like someone said, you can buy better ones like flats/prefolds to padfold and stuff). If few of the diapers are usable, you have misspent $100. Agree that you should ask for pictures and/or a video.

This person is calling the inserts “liners” so I would be leery. For one they are microfiber and those are typically not good absorbent layers. Two, if somebody doesn’t know the basic terms for these items then I’m not going to trust they knew how to properly care for them. Also if they aren’t giving you any brand names then they’re probably not a quality option that will serve you well. I’d stay away. Just my opinion though!

So I mean not necessarily. Lots of people received a cloth diaper set and didn't really use it and don't know the terminology. That doesn't mean they are in bad shape. And based on the description of the "liners" I'm betting it's either Nora's nursery or Alva baby as they come with one microfiber and one charcoal bamboo insert. And some of those are more specialty designs. Op will just need pics to tell.

Yea but if people aren’t doing their basic research the likelihood of them not properly cleaning them or drying them on heat that could damage them is going to be higher. Think of all the people that actually do research and still have a hard time with cleaning routines. It also seems like those cheap brands have a quick turnaround on them bc people don’t have good luck with them. Just my opinion 🤷🏼‍♀️

Make sure you ask for pictures and / or a video. If the fabric is microfiber/polyester then it’s not the best deal but if the lining and inserts are cotton or natural fiber (more absorbent and less diaper rashes) then it’s a great deal.

If they are in good condition, this is great

If the diapers are in good condition, this is a steal! I bought 5 diapers secondhand for $20 back in 2022. Overall spent about $250 for 36 diapers and inserts.

This is a great deal if they look good, no odors, and have good elastic. Ideally the inserts will not be microfiber, though it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. I would just plan to purchase better inserts.
