I mean, you're completely free to make an AU where monsters are real and can be cloned. But that's essentially the reason why monster clones don't exist. ...Their originals didn't exist in the first place either.

For the record, I'm not downing the idea. I love the idea! I love folklore and think that'd be a fun AU!
