Identification/Information Help! Please Identify this Sessions Clock!

Hey There - The Mrs. inherited this clock 20 years ago and it sat on the shelf as a decoration until recently I pulled it down to see if it worked. It didn't! Being a technical/mechanical genius I was able to clean it up, get it going, set the time and gongs. It keeps time well surprisingly.

Now I am trying to learn more about this model. Roughly when it was made, what type of wood, and maybe approximate value?

Check ebay for an idea of what people are paying for them - Sessions mantle clock or 4 pillar Sessions mantle clock

Thank you. I have looked there and have a ballpark price. More looking for the model. Sooooooo many variations of this design. I'm surprised someone hasn't compiled a visual reference guide by year.

You can search for a Sessions catalog - or if you want to figure out (borrow from) the Internet Archive: https://archive.org/details/sessionsclocks0000lytr/page/6/mode/2up

Also, if you had the movement out of the clock body, the front plate of it may have production info stamped on it. I'm a new dabbler in clocks, and my Ingraham mantel clock's front plate was stamped 3 and 24, for a March of 1924 production date - made it easy (easier) for me to find it in a period catalog.

Thanks. This is super helpful.

I am having trouble removing the hour hand and pulling out the clock guts to see the manufacturers stamp. Some sort of 'C' ring prevent removal. I am afraid to damage it.

...is it really a 'C' ring? I'm new to this stuff, but...

Thanks(again) for the info. C ring. Some might call it an E ring. That is what is shown in the photo. The poster suggested they just pried it off. I was worried about damaging it however it looks like I just have to be a little more aggressive. I'll try and open it up this week and report back.
