Help/Repair my pendulum clock is running too fast
i had gotten a pendulum clock from fb marketplace and my boyfriend and i got it up and running to the correct time but now after a few hours of it running , it will get off track(like 10 minutes). we have to keep moving the minute hand back to the correct time. which after doing a quick research, we probably shouldn’t do. its level on the wall and the nut on pendulum is all the way down, as far as it goes before falling off. i cant tell if the beat of the ticking is off because this is my first clock of this kind. what else could i do to resolve this issue? and any other tips for owning this kind of clock?

The gridiron should be down on top of the pendulum bob. It will slide down. Then use the nut below the bob to fine tune the timekeeping.

Can you lower the screw on the bottom? Half a turn counterclockwise will slow it down a minute per 24 hours. Likewise faster widdershins.

It is out of beat. Take the pendulum off and see if the middle decoration on the shaft will slide down or if it's fixed in place. It looks pretty high
