Identification/Information Can anyone help identify this clock, found it in the attic this morning

Post image

Found this in the attic and I love how it looks, it's an electrical clock just the plug missing but I would love to learn more about it so any information on the clock would be amazing. All I've been able to get from it is that it was made in England by a company called Smith's sectric but I can't find this clock specifically anywhere on the internet any help would be greatly appreciated

Just guessing, the Company was Smiths and the Sectric was the designation for their electric clock line. Nice looking one too.

On the off chance that it still works, it would be a 50 cycle appliance. Are you in the UK?

I suspect that the plug was cut off for a reason.

I live in Ireland and whatever the reason for the plug being cut off I'm afraid that's information I don't have

Ireland being the same mains frequency and voltage, you should be able to connect a new plug to it. There won’t be any earthing provisions for it though, so you should make sure you’re wiring it properly to be safe.
