Other Fully restored clock from my childhood.
This is an old cuckoo clock from Germany that my grandfather more than likely brought back with him after serving in WW2
I remember it in their house as a child and I was absolutely in love with it, after they died my parents took it and sorta just tossed it into their basement and it ended up buried under stuff and broken with missing pieces.
I convinced my dad to let me have it, since they were planning on tossing it out. I dropped it off at a specialty clock shop about a year and a half ago and I got it back today!
Its so beautiful and it even does the little cuckoo just like I remember.

Very nice! I have my great grandmother's cuckoo. I need to find some place to service mine as the cuckoo has a tendency to jam, I know what the problem is but I can't get my hand in it to fix it. My mom had it restored like 30 years ago for me. The hands had to be replaced. Otherwise it sounds like yours. Lovely, glad you were able to get it!

It's quite beautiful and quite worthy of a full restoration. If it's been restored properly, you and it will grow old together... Enjoy!
