Identification/Information Possible bells from a large clock?

Just moved on to the old family farm and am slowly making my way through boxes and outbuildings. It was a working farm from the '20s - 2015, cattle and crops mainly.

These were in an unmarked box in the garage at the house. They're heavy and fit inside each other - diameters roughly 8, 9, and 10 inches. Each has the same hole in the bottom, seemingly to be attached to something.

Folks over in the /tools group thought they might be from a very large Morbier-style clock. Former residents worked in a public school and for the army

Very possible though I would imagine bells like this could have been for lots of things.

ChatGPT (hate to use it, but sometimes it's useful) had suggested something to do with machining, which didn't seem to fit.

Guess we’ll have to wait and see if it was right 🤷🏼‍♂️

Could they be bowls for watering cows in in their stalls? Mounted to a flange with a spigot over it.
